Tizu Essence begins with freshly harvested Fijian green kava, using carefully cleaned lateral roots and peeled rhizomes. Through our specially developed extraction process, we recreate the traditional hand-kneaded preparation of fresh green kava using modern equipment, before concentrating the kavalactone-rich solids through centrifugation.
The resulting extract is then gently freeze-dried to help preserve the fresh character and distinctive qualities of green kava.
Unlike micronized kava, which is simply dried root ground into a fine powder, Essence is made from a genuine fresh green kava extraction, without the need to consume the ground root material.
The closest thing to freshly hand-kneaded Fijian green kava, without the kneading!
Kava Effects
- Onset: Expect to feel relaxed 30–60 minutes after consuming.
- Peak Sensation: The mellowing effect starts at 30 min and can last up to 2 hours.
- Cognitive Effects: At traditional or low doses, kava might actually help you focus or feel more social. Higher doses can make you a bit sleepy or clumsy, but the impact on thinking is usually mild and short-lived.
- Duration: Effects last 2–4 hours, and you’ll be back to baseline soon after. There’s no evidence of long-term cognitive problems, even with regular use.
